Black Country & West Birmingham
NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Service

When will I get the vaccine?

If you are over 30, work in healthcare or a care home, or you have an underlying health condition, you can book your vaccine now via your GP. For all other groups, don’t contact us to ask about your vaccine, the NHS will be in contact with you. You may receive a call from your GP or a letter from the NHS national booking service.

Vaccinations are being offered to all healthcare workers, care home residents, the elderly and the ‘clinically vulnerable’ first. It will then be offered to other people in order of priority. The order is set by an independent expert group, the Joint Committee on Vaccinations and Immunisation (JCVI), and is as follows:

  1. Care home residents and staff
  2. All those aged 80 and over, and front-line health and care workers
  3. All those aged 75 and over
  4. All those aged 70 and over, and clinically extremely vulnerable people
  5. All those aged 65 and over
  6. Adults aged 18 to 65 in an at risk group
  7. All those aged 60 and over
  8. All those aged 55 and over
  9. All those aged 50 and over
  10. Rest of the population
